Consequently, I decided to forget about running Photoshop and got the 11' Air, which truly is ultra-compact and ultra-light. If I had no choice but to run Photoshop on an Air, I'd get the 13', but to my mind the 15' MacBook Pro with the high resolution, anti-glare option makes more sense if Photoshop is a priority. There are plenty of Photoshop alternatives for Mac that you can download or use in-browser to create just the right images and graphics for your projects. And some of them are completely free! None of these are necessarily one-size-fits-all solutions.
I'd suggest you a) check out the technical specifications on both Machines and then also b) check out benchmark testing on both.
As a general observation, a fast i7 processor is best with that kind of app as well as lots of RAM (the new OS versions all require far more RAM and so does Adobe), so 16 GB would be a minimum.
And, a laptop is designed for portability, not necessarily processing power (unless it's a top model Macbook Pro).
